Thank you, Francesca. We actually do some of the heavy clean up before Ramadan and the week leading to Eid. The night before Eid is called chand raat(the night of the moon as a new moon must be sighted in order to end Ramadan.) It’s usually spent preparing for Eid and getting together with friends, applying henna in hands and so on.
I still remember the last moment shopping on Chaand raat. ..
SO much fun…
