I had been itching to share this information with all of you for almost a year, and finally it’s here. I am super excited to announce the launch of the very first With A Spin branded product. It all started with a hand drawn pencil sketch. Not sure I can even call it a sketch. An inspiration, a vision, a motivation to start something new. After few revisions and working with a few engineers for 2D and 3D designs, sorting through many manufacturers and pin pointing the best one for craftsmanship and quality, firing two designers for the package design, and many many sleepless days and nights of work, it’s finally here. The very first product of Peace line is here. I can’t thank enough my family and friends who stuck with me during this chaotic yet exciting journey of launching With A Spin’s very first products. Above all, the Almighty who gave me the courage to try something out of my comfort zone.
For many of you who know me through the blog, you know how much I value family, food and creativity. The love for my family revolves around my faith, culture, beliefs, and traditions. Growing up in a Muslim country, a lot of my fond memories are about celebrating the Islamic festivities with friends and family.
Though we do not live in a Muslim country any longer, I still want to enable our next generation to create fond memories about the Islamic festivals outside of their parents home country. I know majority of parents share the same sentiment for their kids.
After R was born, I frantically started looking for Eid/Ramadan/Islamic theme items so that she grows up with similar festive memories that I have always cherished growing up. Not able to find such items that I like, I thought of the unthinkable. Why not start designing and launching products that appeal to modern Muslims?
I wanted the first product to be something that enables celebration and brings the family together. A product that can be used creatively and appeals to both kids and adults for Ramadan, Eid and beyond. A product that can give someone artistic and imaginative abilities to make food as well as arts and crafts. Trying to achieve all these from one product, I settled for a set of iconic shaped premium stainless steel cookie cutters. There were few other items in mind, but a set of cutters seemed to be the most logical choice to achieve all the criteria I mentioned above. The Cookie cutter set includes shapes of Crescent, Star, Masjid (mosque) and Minaret.
When people see the Statue of Liberty, they immediately associate it with the Unites States of America. Similarly, the crescent and the star symbol is most commonly associated with Islam, though it has little to do with the faith. The symbols were part of the flag of the Ottoman Empire which was the dominant Muslim power for almost 700 years. Hence, the European world always associated the Ottomans with Islam. Thus, their flag came to represent Islam and the crescent and star shapes became a symbol to represent Islam. Naturally, I wanted to include them in the set. Furthermore, a masjid is a place of worship and the Minaret is where the call for prayer(Azan) is recited. Both are significant in the life of a Muslim, thus the Masjid and the Minaret shape got its place in the set.
If you are a consumer focused on functional aspects of packaging, such as maintaining cleanness, portability, storage, and ease of opening with a dazzling design, you’ll love the packaging of this cutter set. Beyond meeting your expectations for function, and eco-friendliness, the package and the cutters promise a quality craftsmanship and luxury. Ready in a beautiful, elegant box whether you want to gift yourself or a loved one.
With A Spin’s very own Holiday Cookie Cutter Set is a must have for every Muslim family, religiously blended families, and families that want to include multicultural experiences in their lives and the lives of their children. The iconic shapes of cutters are basic necessities for any baker’s collection and inspires an infinite spectrum of creatively designed food and crafts.
There are lots of ways you can personalize the traditions you make for your family using these cutters. I will share recipes and crafts that are meant to be a source of inspiration, not as anything fixed or rigid but as a starting place for your own creativity to make your own tradition and celebration.
Stay tuned for more information about when tThe set is available in the Market. Please go to our shop page for update about how to buy the Peace line Holiday Cookie cutter set.

Congratulations, Lail! So impressed! It’s the perfect first product for you, and beautifully done. If I weren’t trying to downsize dramatically right this minute I’d buy the first ones off the production line, but I think I’m going to have to wait until I have just the right birthday or housewarming or baby shower gift occasion to buy them for someone else. 😉 I will certainly keep this in mind for that, though!! Be sure to let us know when and where they’ll be available for purchase. 😀
Joy to you!
