Summer in the Lone Star State is longer. Even though it is officially fall, we are still enjoying grilling weather, continuing the harvesting of the fresh herbs and enjoying an abundance of fruits from friends and family gardens. What do you get when combining all these elements is an amazing rosemary infused honey syrup added to grilled fruits.
Generous friends and families have provided us with an ample supply of fresh fruits in the last few weeks. We were so excited and had guavas after such a long time. Even after eating the juicy, crisp fruits to our hearts content and mailing a box to my brother, we had plenty in the refrigerator. Around the same time, a friend brought over freshly picked pears from her garden. With all the fruits around, and the great weather who could resist not grilling some of the fruits while grilling some sheekh kabab?
The highly aromatic honey-rosemary syrup is quick and easy to make. You don’t need to have grilling weather to enjoy this salad. A counter top grill or a quick sear on the stove yields the same caramelized flavor. If you are in the mood for extra calorie and additional pizzaz, go ahead and add a dollop of ice-cream as you enjoy the fruit salad.
- 3 teaspoons honey
- 1 sprig rosemary
- ⅔ cup water
- 1 tablespoon butter
- Fruits of your choice (Pears, Guava, Peaches, Grapes, Pineapple, etc.)
- Add water, honey and rosemary in a pan and simmer to make syrup, about 5 minutes. Let steep and cool.
- Wash, cut fruits into quarters.
- Brush your indoor/outdoor grill with butter.
- Add the fruits and grill for 2-3 minutes each side. Sprinkle/brush some syrup every 1-1.5 minutes to get a caramelized effect.
- Serve grilled mixed fruits in a bowl and spoon extra syrup if you want.
Adjust honey according to taste.

উপকরণ:
৩ চা চামচ মধু
১ গোছা রোজমেরী
২/৩ কাপ পানি
১ টেবিল চামচ মাখন
আপনার পছন্দের ফল (নাসপাতি, পেয়ারা, পিচ, আঙ্গুর, আনারস, ইত্যাদি)
প্রণালী:
১. অল্প আঁচে পানি, মধু এবং রোজমেরী একটি প্যােন দিয়ে সিরাপ তৈরী করুন। সিরাপ ঠান্ডা করুন।
২. ফল ধুয়ে কেটে নিন।
৩. মাখন গ্রীলে ব্রাশ করুন।
৪. ফলের প্রতিটি দিক ২-৩ মিনিট গ্রীল করুন। প্রতি ১-১.৫ মিনিট পরপর কিছু সিরাপ ফলের উপর ছিটিয়ে দিন/ব্রাশ করুন।
৫. একটি বাটিতে গ্রীল করা ফল কিছু সিরাপ দিয়ে পরিবেশন করুন।
