Autumn has arrived. For us “fall people” this new season marks a new beginning of a beautiful transformation – to refresh, to indulge, to celebrate, to let go off and so much more to be grateful for. As summer fades away, it is also a time to make our home cozy again and decorate with things that inspires us. Let’s celebrate the season and create a statement-making fall centerpiece inspired by the harvest season.

I love to repurpose items I already have in hand or those I can use during other holidays (e.i. Ramadan, Eid). Feel free to decorate your table with anything that speaks to you: apples, gourds, pomegranate, pumpkins, nuts, floral arrangements, fall foliage, candles, and other seasonal materials are all fair game. Whatever you choose, it’s safe to say that all eyes will be on the fall table decor that perfectly mirror the bounties of the season.

Don’t be afraid to mix metals, interchange colors, add in a mix of greenery, and special Islamic touches and reminders that will make the table feel warm, welcoming, lived in and most importantly, uniquely YOU!

For a striking, nature-inspired look, I love to bring in fall inspired plants such as oxalis triangularis, succulents, wheat bunches, and fall berries. Elements of the nature bring life to any table. Ground the plant in a tray to give it a defined space.
Fresh flowers make an easy and beautiful centerpiece that can be changed throughout the season. Typically autumn arrangements include chrysanthemums, sunflowers, marigold, daises, and burgundy or orange roses. Add some greenery and voila! Don’t be afraid to add basil, rosemary or whatever other herbs you may have in the garden to the arrangement.

Ground your centerpiece on a tray or board. A decorative tray is versatile and functional and one of the easiest ways to bring fall centerpiece ideas to life. Invest in a wood tray that can complement year round seasonal decor.
